Bio:
Jason Nace was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, where he attended McDonogh School. He received his undergraduate degree at Colgate University, and then went to medical school at the Medical College of Virginia (MCV) in Richmond. His interest in doing a combined residency in Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine (EM/IM) brought him to Christiana (then Medical Center of Delaware) as a fourth year medical student, where he ultimately matched for the combined residency in 1997. After serving as chief resident in the EM program, Jason became the first graduate to work for DFES and the department of Medicine, as a hospitalist. After two years, he became full-time with DFES, but continues to work in the Medicine department, as a preceptor in the EM/IM residents’ clinic. Besides staying as involved as possible with the EM/IM program as the assistant program director, Dr. Nace also has a special interest in Observation Medicine. He has been the medical director of the former Clinical Decision Unit at Christiana, and now holds the same position in the Emergency Department Observation Unit. He enjoys the challenges of wearing many different hats within the CCHS community. He lives in the bustling city of Wilmington, Delaware, and enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
