Medical Student education
Matt was born and raised in a small town north of New York City. His medical career began in high school where he volunteered as an EMT in the local fire department. He attended The Pennsylvania State University as a Schreyer Scholar, and majored in economics while working as an EMT for the University Ambulance Service. After college Matt was an ER scribe before earning his medical degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2019. As a 4th medical student Matt rotated in the ChristianaCare ED and he has been here ever since. He completed his Emergency Medicine residency at ChristianaCare, where he served as Chief Resident, and joined DFES full time in 2022.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife (also an Emergency physician), traveling, and hiking.
