Morganne Castiglione grew up in Northeast Pennsylvania, with her twin sister as well as a brother. Her undergraduate studies were at Drexel University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. After some time working in the biotech industry, she enrolled in medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. She completed her Emergency Medicine residency training at Christiana Care, where she was chief resident.
During her time with DFES, Morganne has participated in the Care for the Caregiver program as a peer supporter. She is also the jurisdictional medical director for Cecil County Department of Emergency Services as well as for the Cecil College Paramedic program. She has an interest in medicine and the humanities and is currently enrolled in the Columbia University Narrative Medicine certificate program.
She lives in Bear, Delaware, with her husband Tom, who is a paramedic, as well as her four cats and a dog.
