Heather Farley, MD, FACEP is the Director of Provider Wellbeing for Christiana Care as well as past medical director for the Middletown Emergency Department. She is also an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.
Dr. Farley received her medical degree from UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed a residency in Emergency Medicine, was a chief resident and then completed a fellowship in Emergency Department Administration at Christiana Care. She has won national awards for leadership.
Dr. Farley’s research interests include emergency department efficiency, provider wellbeing, and patient satisfaction. She has chaired a national ACEP committee and authored multiple peer-reviewed abstracts and papers. Dr. Farley is actively involved with a national Care for the Caregiver program as well as disclosure of medical errors for the health system.
