Stephen Koczirka, MD

Dr. Koczirka grew up in Pennsylvania in the Delaware Valley. He attended the University of Delaware and graduated with degrees in Biology and an Honors degree in Liberal Studies. He earned his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He then went on to train in emergency medicine with the Christiana Care Emergency Residency Program. During his time in residency he was active with the EMS system and presented research at SAEM, ACEP and NAEMSP. Upon graduating, Dr. Koczirka joined DFES, and is currently active on the Operations Committee and participates in resident education. When not working, Dr. Koczirka enjoys photography, traveling, and outdoor activities. He resides in Wilmington with his wife and children.
